Williamson County, Georgetown Animal Shelters Offering Free Adoptions

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) – Until Sunday, the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter and Georgetown Animal Shelter are offering free adoptions for those who wish to add a furry family member.

Free adoptions are for medium to large adult dogs and adult cats.

WCRAS said that due to the kitten season, torrential rains and large inflows from individual residences, both shelters are overcapacity for these specific animals.

“Our shelters are in desperate need of adopters and foster families to save lives,” said Misty Valenta, director of animal services for WCRAS, in a press release.

You can view a list of adoptable animals from WCRAS and Georgetown Animal Shelter online.

Those who wish to adopt need an appointment. Email [email protected] for WCRAS or [email protected] for Georgetown Animal Shelter to schedule one.

WCRAS is located at 1855 SE Inner Loop in Georgetown. The Georgetown Animal Shelter is also located at 110 WL Walden in Georgetown.
