Pets of the Week: Tilt lives up to its name. JP is an easy going guy

JACKSON, MI — The Jackson County Animal Shelter, 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.

Here are two.

JP is a 2 year old American Staffordshire mix with the cutest ears that hang forward. It is tan in color with white markings. He is an easy-going guy who weighs around 80 pounds. JP is friendly, clean and he seems to get along with other dogs. Sailing in the great outdoors with lots of sniffing is one of his favorite activities.

Tilt is aptly named because he wears his head tilted. He has a neurological problem that resembles human vertigo. Tilt is a super friendly cat who loves to be petted and given treats. He has light green eyes that will blow your mind.

An encounter with a dog is mandatory. A guided chat room tour is available to test the reaction. The dog adoption fee is $150 for medium and large dogs and $250 for puppies and small dogs, which includes vaccinations, microchipping and neutering.

Cat adoption fees are $60 for one cat, $80 for two, which includes applicable tests, vaccines, and neutering.
