Meet Guillermo, a “big-hearted” dog up for adoption in the Capital District

Looking for a new furry companion? Meet Guillermo.

According to his profile on the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society website, this “big-hearted” 12-year-old mixed-breed dog proves that big things come in small packages.

Guillermo is part of the shelter’s Hidden Gems collection, a group of dogs and cats who waited over 100 days to find their “furever” home.

Weighing 10 pounds, he is very loyal to the person he bonds with and should be the only pet in a calm, adult-only home, says MHHS.

“I may be older, but I still have a lot of character in me!” reads his profile.

The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society is located in Menands, Albany County. Founded in 1887, it is the oldest and largest animal protection organization in the capital region.
