Italian restaurant Yeppa and Co opens in the former Biltong Bar space in Atlanta’s Buckhead Village

Pietro Gianni and Stephen Peterson, two of the owners of Storico Fresco Alimentari e Ristorante and Forza Storico, plan to open an Italian restaurant Yeppa and Co. this summer at the former Biltong Bar space in Buckhead Village. The Biltong Bar, backed by Justin Anthony and restaurant group True Story Brands, closed its doors to the luxury retail development earlier this month.

Gianni and Peterson, along with chef Michael Patrick, also own wine bar Storico Vino on Peachtree Road in Buckhead Village, which opened in the Corso Coffee space in March 2021. Patrick, who remains involved with the other three restaurants, is focused on writing a cookbook, and is not involved with Yeppa and Co.

Yeppa, named after a verbal exclamation expressing joy and excitement, will serve a menu of dishes influenced by the coastal town of Rimini in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region along the Adriatic Sea. Look for charcuterie and cheese platters, grilled skewers, seafood dishes with Adriatic fish, paninis and piadina romagnola (Italian flatbread sandwich) as well as hearty pasta dishes, like Bolognese lasagna and tortelli filled with meat, vegetables and cheese. . Also expect pizza as well as focaccia on the menu.

Located on Buckhead Avenue, across from the recently opened Fetch Dog Park and Bar, Yeppa’s design provides for a large central bar with televisions tuned to American and international sports, seating 130 people indoors between the dining room and bar, and an all-weather patio with seating for an additional 50 people.
