Help make Remy’s first Christmas at the NICU special

Do you have a few minutes to help out a family with connections to Ocean County over Christmas?

While most families are busy wrapping Christmas presents, baking cookies, and decorating their homes for the holidays, the Kornse family is not.

A dear friend of mine, Nicolette Kornse, formerly of Forked River and Barnegat Township, gave birth to her third son Remy last July. Unfortunately, it was not an easy race for Remy or the Kornses.

Shortly after her birth, Remy’s lung collapsed and Nicolette and her husband Brian spent countless hours at the NICU from their new home in Florida working with medical professionals to diagnose for their adorable little boy. It’s been a top-down race, but two things are for sure – Little Remy is a fighter, and Nicolette is one of the strongest women I’ve ever known.

Last week, Nicolette learned the sad news that Remy would be spending Christmas at the NICU, and it goes without saying that she is heartbroken. I know she dreamed of when her 3 boys would all be together in their house. She is trying to make Remy’s first Christmas very special for him by collecting Christmas cards to decorate his hospital room, and this is where we need your help.

Do you have a second to write a Christmas card for Rémy? A little note of joy and hope will make such a difference in the life of this sweet child and his incredible family. Nicolette and her sisters grew up listening to WOBM, and it would mean the whole world if we could give back to her family and show them how amazing the Ocean County community is. I know we have it in us.

You can post all Christmas cards at the station:

Rally for Remy c / o Diana Tyler, WOBM
8 Robbins Street
Toms River, NJ 08753

I will pass them on to Nicolette and Remy. You can also follow Rémy’s journey on the Facebook page Rally for Rémy.

Thank you very much in advance for your kindness and your Christmas cards.

It’ll warm your heart: ADORABLE JERSEY SHORE DOGS
