Casper Animal Medical Center sponsors adoption fees for 10 dogs from Metro Animal Shelter

CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) – Casper Animal Medical Center has partnered with Metro Animal Shelter to encourage people to adopt dogs from the shelter.

“My team and I saw that the Metro Animal Control Center was incredibly full and we wanted to do something about it, so we decided to sponsor ten dogs for adoption,” said CAMC Hospital Director Brooke Grenier.

The medical center team keeps tabs on Metro’s adoptable dogs, so they can recommend good fits to families and friends. CAMC has partnered with Metro in the past to offer spaying and neutering clinics for their animals.

Currently, Metro has 35 dogs available for adoption, so the CAMC team decided they wanted to make an impact and sponsor 10 adoptions to help more animals find their forever homes.

“They really need amazing homes, so hopefully this little donation can make a good change to get them adopted,” Grenier said.

CAMC offers coupons for the Pet Lodge, the Groom Room and for a check-up at the medical center for anyone who adopts Metro.

“I will say you know, adopting a dog is a lifelong commitment to that dog, so make sure it’s right for you and your family, because that’s a really big thing to take on, but you’re going to really life changing for this dog,” Grenier said.

The 10 dogs sponsored by CAMC are: Fang, Sansa, Draco, Ziggy, Max, Maya, Crystal, 112488, Kyson and Ronda. The dogs are of different breeds and all have been spayed or neutered.

“Metro Animal Services is grateful for the wonderful community support we receive from our citizens and other animal welfare businesses. With our recently expanded Saturday hours of operation, we look forward to helping these animals find loving homes within our community,” said Metro Animal Services.

Metro Animal Shelter is open 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
