Apollo, Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Dog of the Week

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – If you’re looking for entertainment, Apollo is your Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Dog of the Week.

Apollo is around five or six years old and entered the adoption center around October and was found running on a soccer field with children.

“Seems to be good with dogs, but of course we have to meet and greet. He is neutered, has average energy, never meets a stranger, always keeps a clean kennel and rides very well in the car. His favorite things are the blankets and the toys, ”said Doug McQuaid, a volunteer at the Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center.

Apollo is very active and would do well with a family that enjoys walking or running. McQuaid mentioned that he was pulling hard on his leash, so he wouldn’t recommend a small child take him for a walk.

McQuaid also explained how they made available food for cats or dogs at the adoption center.

“If you need cat food, dog food, or a bale of straw, a straw is currently the best bedding you could use for cold weather. It doesn’t freeze and so on, ”McQuaid said. “Call us, let us know. We are here to help you. Call us and tell us what you need, and we’ll load it into your car. You don’t even have to get out of your car. We will fix it for you.

If you would like to adopt Apollo or any other dog or if you believe your dog has been found, you can call (740) 453-0273 or visit their website at muskingumcountyoh.gov.
